NEW Qigong 💫 6 week course with Kath Revell / Ninja Granny Thursdays 10-11 am 👉🏼 18th September - 23rd October 2025 Qigong (pronounced “chi-gong”) consists of slow, gentle flowing movements that are graceful, easy and enjoyable to do. It’s often described as “meditation in movement”. It is an ancient Chinese health exercise that enhances well-being in many different ways, including improving balance and co-ordination, increasing energy and strength, and relaxing and calming the mind and body. Course content: Qigong exercises that combine movement and breath. Qigong standing postures (which can be adapted for sitting). Five Daoist Exercises, Bagua dragon exercises, “Shen Jin Ba Gu” – joint opening and muscle lengthening exercise. Five Animals Qigong. The Five Animals are: Tiger, Deer, Bear, Monkey and Crane. By the end of the course you will know a short routine to practise daily. This course is for everyone, complete beginners and for those with experience. The exercises are done standing, but all of them can be adapted for seated. (chairs at studio available) With the standing exercises there are different levels, so you can keep improving. Kath Revell, aka Ninja Granny, has been learning and teaching Tai chi and Qigong for over 30 years and is a member of the Tai chi Union of GB. She runs regular classes in South East Cornwall.
