Haidee Dampney

Haidee's been practising yoga for over 15 years and began the journey into teaching with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2012, completing a Diploma in Teaching Yoga-Level 4 and Teaching Yoga to Children and Young People module.  Her teaching is covered by insurance, first aid and Disclosure & Barring Service to work with children and adults. She teaches a number of regular and one-off yoga sessions to both adults and children and finds teaching deeply rewarding. Alongside her yoga experience she's spent over 20 years working with children, young people, families and communities in a range of settings. She takes a very down to earth approach to teaching believing everyone can practice, given the opportunities Her own family and professional experience means that she understands some of the interesting and sometimes challenging intricacies of family life. She enjoys sharing yoga with her own child to help improve well-being and increase mutual understanding between them. As a family they all love being in the outdoors together.

Fun, creative and non-competitive yoga sessions for children and their parent/carer will offer the opportunity to learn some yoga breathing, postures and mindfulness practices that may help to improve well-being and mutual understanding. Yoga is a great way for children and adults to learn about our bodies, develop strength and flexibility alongside improved mood regulation and mental focus. Children learn best through play and adults can learn through play too. Because of this, sessions will use themes, games, songs and fun activities to explore yoga. a 60 minute session allows for arriving & settling in; breathing awareness; warming up the body; practising postures; mindfulness practice, relaxation and fun.
